WOMEN IN BOWLING PROJECT - WiB
Did you know that women hold only 14% of top decision-making roles in European sports federations?
Or that girls drop out of sports at twice the rate of boys by age 14?
The EBF founded the Gender Equality Committee to help change these statistics within our sport.
“Women in Bowling” is the committee’s first project, aiming to increase the number of female athletes and women in leadership positions within bowling.
“Women in Bowling” is a structured, Europe-wide program to grow female participation at the grassroots level and open pathways for women into coaching, officiating, and governance roles across all EBF member federations.
We are driving systemic change through two interconnected core pillars:
More Women Bowlers
01
Grow female participation at grassroots through access, identity & community
Women in Leadership
02
Build clear pathways for women into governance, coaching & officiating
The contents of these project pillars will be announced later.
